OPI Summer 2009 SUNbelievable! Collection
Hey, everyone, SilverDiva returning. This time I have a fun, summer collection for you that I just now completed. As always, reviews will be done after I’ve gotten a chance to wear the colors for at least 24 hours. Check out the piccies and descriptions.
Banana Bandanna is the one I rescued from my Regis’ clearance table for 60% off regular price. It’s a very pale yellow with a tad bit of shimmer to give it just a bit of depth. This wasn’t quite as streak-tastic as most yellows that I have, but it did give me a fair amount of problems.
If The Fuchsia Fits… is a beautiful neutral pink base loaded with blue microshimmers that when out in the sun, gives this color its blue iridescent flash. Although I love this color, it certainly isn’t unique: China Glaze Pink Voltage has something similar, and so does NYC In A New York Color Minute Midtown, I believe.
I’m His Coral-Friend is a sheer coral jelly. I love this kind of finish, and the tone of the coral–definitely a cool coral that suits my skin tone.
Sea? I Told You! is a beautiful aqua leaning on very cool teal blue with silver microglitter. This one has to be my favorite of the collection since you all know I love my blues, greens, and teals.
There’s only one thing that really bothers me about these four colors: they all require a minimum of four coats to be fully opaque. You’d have to apply these kind of thinly too, or they won’t dry very fast.
So, what do you guys think of this collection? Like it, hate it or indifferent? I know I’m late to the party posting it, but I’ve had three quarters of this collection ever since I started my first nail polish blog. (The one that took me five months worth of work before I had to start all over) Besides, I want to do something a little different–while others are posting about Holiday/Winter collections, I’m posting about fun, happy stuffs.
With that, SilverDiva signing off until tomorrow. I’ve got a dentist appointment then, so I’ll brief you on it when I get back. Love, light, peace, and Happy Holidays to all of you!

Yummy. The coral creme looks luscious. And the banana looks great too even though I’m guessing the pic is over-exposed??? I love jelly polishes too.
why don’t u file down ur nails and make them even?
they look so ugly that way. =(
Hi, Becky!
In my defense…
First of all, my nails were broken at different times. The middle nail was the one that broke the soonest, and even that is growing back out.
And second, no, I don’t feel like filing them to ‘make them even’ since that would be taking a step backward from my efforts to grow them out. Considering that my middle nail grows the fastest of those that broke (it took my ring finger one and a half months to grow out the length it was before it broke), I just don’t feel that it makes sense. Especially since I’ve been putting on the ‘hurry up and grow’ stuff every mani.
Becky, silverdiva is really nice to you! I’m of the opinion that if you don’t like it, there are plenty of other blogs for you to read, but no one needs your Sour Sally comments here. Grow up already.
Love this collection. Especially Sea? I Told You! That is lovely.
