Nail-ing Life Online

Well, I’ve saved what I consider to be the best for last. I’m presenting to you my latest acquisition — Nfu Oh #053. I bought this for $12.50 at FabulouStreet, the same place I got my #036.

Yesterday I checked my mail, and I got one of the five keys for bigger packages that just won’t fit in the mailbox. Well, imagine my happiness when I opened the locker! Inside was my package from FabulouStreet containing my Nfu Oh #053. I just had to swatch it before continuing to swatch my Wet ‘n Wild colors.

Anyway, check out the swatches. I had to take as many angles of this beauty as possible, but even that couldn’t help because I just couldn’t get the flakies captured perfectly. So I apologize for the pictures in advance.

I was actually lemming for this color when I checked it out on FabulouStreet. This is a sheer, kind of a cornflower blue jelly loaded with blue shimmer and flakies that flash from orange to green in certain lights. Coverage was five coats because it’s so sheer — I think this’ll look so beautiful over black or other colors.

I tried to catch more of the flakies, but I guess you can’t see them too well. Either I overexposed them, or I suck at capturing flakies on camera.

I took this inside next to my daylight lamp. The flakies look darker but you can see more of the blue shimmer against the black. I guess I need a better camera, huh? Yeah, I think so.

Still sucks, sorry. Anyway, this was two coats of #53 over three coats of Maybelline Express Finish 50 Seconds Onyx Rush, topped with one thick coat of Poshe topcoat.

I love the application of #053, except for the sheerness. However, sheerness is a non-issue when you use it for layering like I have.
